As I stepped out of the bus in Phoenix, my trousers rustied in 45 degree Celsius.
The traffic lights changed all at the same time and all the way to the horizon
some 80 miles away.
The city is planned by Frank Loyd Wright and is an enormous area with big
squares. Roads continue in the desert.
I wisited Taliesin West by Wright. He was married several times and all his wifes
got their homes. In the picture Taliesin West in tjhe desert. I walked around there
some hours and also in the nature and studied the bushes.
The houses did not have roofs, but cotton sheets as roof, as there never rains.
However it had rained just before I came and all floors were wet.
The concrete walls were like candies with nuts.
On the way from Phoenix to Los Angeles was a deserted town.
Perhaps there had been a mine, and the ore had ended.
In los Angeles I wandered in the center in the early morning. There
was no pedestrian pavements, and mostly big roads and tunnels.
In the street were human faeces.
Central shops had weapons and knives. This time I took the bus in
the morning. It went through many small towns and large wine yards. Finally I arrived in San Fransico. I visited Oakland Rotary Meeting.
Architects have to study many catalogues, as there are so many
different producers of the same item. Most time goes for this.

I made three attempts to reach the Pacific Ocean. At first attempt I could not walk
that far. On the third attempt I took a bus. In the bus were six Creolean people.
They were wonderfully actively behaving both men and women.
San Fransisco and Boston are the "European" cities of USA. There is culture.
From San Fransisco I traveled up the mountains. There was forest and about 50%
of the trees were dead. The trees were enormous pine trees with huge half a meter
cones falling on you. The trip ended in Salt Lake City. There I found in the evening a
small hotel, partly a brothel with activity in the night. I just slept.
